Mr. Cooper Mortgage is HACKED

The New York Times recently reported that Mr. Cooper Mortgage (Formerly Nationstar Mortgage) which services millions of mortgages for American families was recently hacked See article at https://www.nytimes.com/2023/11/07/business/cyberattack-mr-cooper-mortgages.html .

It is not clear if any customer confidential data was stolen. It is not clear if transactions, including payments posted after 10/31/23 have been accurately posted.

We urge all of our clients and friends whose mortgage is serviced by Mr. Cooper to log into the Mr. Cooper website for the most recent updates, instructions and warnings relating to their mortgage accounts. https://www.mrcooper.com/.

We also urge all Mr. Cooper customers to hold onto printed copies of receipts for any payments made since October 31, 2023.
